Risskov Efterskole offers a unique international pathway to provide you with the competencies needed, whether you are planning to study, work and/or live in another country, looking to improve your English language skills, preparing for future IB or Cambridge studies in DK or just curious and ready to experience a different way of studying and learning.

We offer two programmes:

The FIB (Foundation IB)

Foundation IB is for students who think they want to continue at an IB DP school or an international school. The FIB programme is taught in English and combines 5 IGCSE subject (22 lessons) with Danish (6 lessons) and 2 lessons PULS.

Cambridge IGCSE + Danish Programme (50/50)

This programme is aimed for learners who are interested in international education and love to talk english and think they might study internationally later in life. This programme is taught partly in English and partly in Danish.
English, Maths, Global Perspectives (14 lessons taught in English) plus Danish and two extra curricular subjects (14 lessons taugt in Danish) plus PULS (2 lessons taught in English/Danish)

We offer a variety of IGCSE Cambridge subjects and you can choose to receive both the globally recognized IGCSE Cambridge Certificate as well as the Danish National Exam (folkeskoles afgangsprøve).

All IGCSE subjects are taught in English and you will be ready to enter both Danish as well as international High School programs. Our school counselor will guide you through the options and requirements of further studies and facilitate the process.

Laura Wellinger, a Cambridge student 17/18, describes it like this:” I found Danish school a bit too easy and although Cambridge may be more challenging, I am definitely more than happy about my choice. We were allowed greater responsibility in choosing subjects, projects and learning outcomes”.

Charlotte Vest, Cambridge teacher in English as a Second Language, describes it like this: “Students seem to like and benefit from meeting a new way of studying, new types of topics and themes. It requires an open mind, and this is a quality increasingly needed to ensure success in our future diverse school, life and work settings. Students become inquirers, critical and creative thinkers, collaborators and change makers. It requires discipline to complete the IGSCE Cambridge program and because we care about every student performance and welfare, we support our students every step of the way.

Our internationally experienced, passionate and caring staff will guide you towards successfully completing of the IGSCE Cambridge program.

Book a visit, Skype meeting, write or call and we are happy to answer any questions you might have or help you with the admission process.
